The Geneva Panthers took on the Pike County Bulldogs on September, Friday the 13th.
The ball game started of slow for both teams. Neither team could get anything going in the first quarter, as well as the second quarter. Until, with fifty-three seconds left in the half the Bulldogs finally threw a twenty-five yard pass that would be in for a touchdown, but the Panthers blocked the extra point. The interception gave Pike County momentum to drive down field, with 2:40 left in the third, to punch it in for another Bulldog touchdown and succeeded in a two point conversion.
The Bulldogs go into the fourth quarter with a 14-0 lead over Geneva. The Panthers finally gain some momentum. With 7:16 left in the ball game, senior Dylan Creech finally finds the end zone to get the Panthers on the board.
Freshman, Noah Johnson nails the extra point to now cut the lead to just one touchdown. Geneva continued to fight and was able to get the ball back. The Panthers were driving down field but turned the ball over on fourth down. Pike County would just kneel and run the clock out to give them the 14-7 victory over Geneva.
