Geneva Lady Panthers Varsity stole the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over Providence Christian on Saturday. Geneva Lady Panthers Varsity was down 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Jesslyn Culverhouse singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Geneva Lady Panthers Varsity earned the victory despite allowing Providence Christian to score four runs in the fifth inning. Providence Christian offense in the inning was led by #5, #20, and #10, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Providence Christian fired up the offense in the first inning, when #4 singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Nikki Lamb was credited with the victory for Geneva Lady Panthers Varsity. She surrendered one run on two hits over one and one-third innings.
#10 took the loss for Providence Christian. She went five innings, allowing six runs on eight hits and striking out one.

#5 went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Providence Christian in hits. Providence Christian didn’t commit a single error in the field. #4 had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
