JV Sweeps, Varsity Falls Short

The Geneva volleyball team hosted Straughn on Tuesday, September 10.

The JV Lady Panthers redeemed themselves tonight against Straughn. They won both sets 25-16 and 25-12.

The JV Lady Panthers defeat Straughn in two straight sets to take the best of 3 match.

Za’Liyah Kemmerlin earned five aces. RayAnna Ausley Warner earned two aces along with Kaitlyn Caraway.  Their current record holds at 3-3.

The Varsity Lady Panthers fought hard all 5 sets, winning the first two.  Unfortunately, the Straughn Tigers won the last 3 sets, defeating the Lady Panthers.  The scores of all sets are: 25-20, 25-19, 25-23, 25-21, and 15-11. Madison Johnson earned four aces, 10 kills, and 13 assists. Chloe Nance with 5 aces, 8 kills, and 16 assists. Daydee Holt with 5 kills, 3 aces, and 6 digs. Shelby Hammock with 4 aces, 2 aces, and 6 digs. Emma Griffin with 9 kills, 1 block, 1 ace, and 6 digs. Pazley Lamb with 2 aces, and 6 digs. Addyson Martin had 2 kills. Their current record is 4-4.
