Geneva and that team from the East set for 83rd contest

Geneva and Slocomb are county foes and recent region enemies. With reclassification for this year the Panthers moved up to 4A ball while the team from the east remains in 3A. The Panthers strugled last week against the Bobcats of Opp, but hope to bounce back with a huge rivalry win tonight at Hugh Owen Memorial Stadium. The team from the east opened up last week with a jamboree agianst sister school Samson High. The last two meetings between the Panthers and Slocomb have been nothing short of magnificent. 2018 was a shootout with record scoring that saw the team from the east come out on top with a score of 63-56. The Panthers served up some vengence last year with a 28-21 victory over the Redtops in Slocomb.
