The first game of a new season

On Friday, November 15,2019, Geneva Hosted the first game of the season against Hartford. 

Noah Johnson with 13 points, four rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks. Kahari McReynolds with nine points, four rebounds, three assists. Damion Kemmerlin with four points, two rebounds, one assist and three steals. Dylan Creech with three points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. Trevon Kemmerlin with 14 points, four rebounds, one assist. Kaleb King with nine points, one rebound, three assists and five steals and one block. Avery Perry with three points. Timothy Mcreynolds with four assists and two steals. Grant Marsh with three points three rounds. Ivey Lawson with four points, one block, six rebounds and one assist.

Their next game is against Florala in Florala on Tuesday, November 19. 

Area Tournament: Runner up

On Monday, October 21, Geneva travelled to Houston Academy to partake in the Area Tournament. Along with Geneva, Houston Academy, Slocomb and Wicksburg were in the Area Tournament. 

Geneva vs Wicksburg 

The Lady Panthers took on Wicksburg for all three sets, 25-13, 25-21 and 25-22. This called for the end of the season for the Wicksburg Lady Panthers. For Geneva, Chloe Nance had aces, seven assists, eight kills, two blocks and one dig. Emma Griffin had five kills and three digs and Daydee Holt had one ace and six kills and four digs. Shelby Hammock had two aces, three kills and two digs and Addyson Martin with two kills and two digs. Pazley Lamb with one ace, one kill and two digs. Madison Johnson with five aces, 15 assists, four kills and eight digs. This was Johnson’s first game back from a shoulder injury. 

Geneva vs Houston Academy 

Houston Academy won three out of five games against The Lady Panthers 12-25, 7-25 and 5-25. During the second set, The Lady Panthers came back and started working together and communicating with one another and found their bases, and took the second set, 25-21. For Geneva, Madison Johnson earned one ace, five assists, three kills and two blocks. Pazley Lamb earner two aces and four digs. Shelby Hammock has four aces, one attack and 10 digs and Camryn Sanders with one ace. Chloe Nance earned one ace, three assists, seven kills, one block and two digs. Emma Griffin with one assist, three kills and three digs. Daydee Holt earned two aces, one block and five digs. 

The Lady Panthers will next travel to Montgomery, Al on Thursday, October 24 for the Regional Tournament. If you will not be able to make it there, be sure to catch the games on air as PSN will be live-streaming. The first game starting at 11:30 against Beulah.

2 for 2 on Senior Night

On  Thursday, October 17, the Geneva Lady Panthers host another tri-match this season against Houston Academy and Opp. This was also Senior Night. 

GHS vs BHS

 Geneva Lady panthers took complete control over the Brantley bulldogs, winning 25-20 and 25-10. 

For Geneva, Chloe Nance had 10 kills, six assists and one block and Pazley Lamb had two aces, one assist, and two digs. Camryn Sanders had 14 assists and kill, Shelby Hammock two kills and four digs. Daydee Holt four aces, five kills, two assists, one block and two digs. Emma Griffin had seven kills, one ace, two blocks, two digs and one assist. Addyson Martin had two kills, one dig and one assist.

Geneva vs. Charles Henderson 

Geneva defeated CHHS 25-22, 19-25, and 15-7. 

The Lady Panthers won the first set by 3 points, losing the second set and then coming back and winning the last set. Camryn Sanders had four aces, seven assist and three digs. Chloe Nance with five Aces,  two assists, six kills, and three digs. Emma Griffin with eight kills, one ace, and two digs. Pazley Lamb with one dig. Shelby Hammock with three aces, one kill and one dig and Addyson Martin with one kill and one assist. Daydee Holt with two kills and one dig. 

Their record is 22-16.

Chloe Nance got the game winning kill to win Senior Night. 

The Lady Panthers will next partake in the Area Tournament hosted by HA on Monday, October 21. They will play at 2:30 against Wicksburg.

Panthers suffer tough losses

Houston Academy vs Geneva


On Monday, October 7, the Geneva Lady Panthers host another tri-match this season against Houston Academy and Opp. 

 Houston Academy led the majority of the match, winning 25-16, 25-9 and 25-14. In addition to earning the 17 aces, the strong, hard serving forced numerous weak Geneva dig efforts, resulting in the Panthers not being able to set up its attacks. Camryn Sanders had two aces, one assist, one kill and two digs. Chloe Nance with five assists, four kills, and one block. Emma Griffin with one assist, three kills, one block and one dig. Pazley Lamb with three assists and two digs. Shelby Hammock with three kills and Addyson Martin with one assist. 

Opp vs. Geneva

Opp defeated Geneva 25-17, 20-25, 15-12. 

For Geneva, Chloe Nance had seven kills, six assists and two digs and Pazley Lamb had three aces and eight digs. Camryn Sanders had five assists and two digs, Shelby Hammock five kills and Daydee Holt three aces, two kills and two digs. Emma Griffin had three kills and four digs and Addyson Martin had two digs.

Their record is now 18-12. The Lady Panthers next travels to Straughn for a tri match which includes Geneva, Straughn and Goshen. The Lady Panthers first played Goshen then Straughn.

Panthers take over Redtops: area matchup

 

The Geneva volleyball team hosts an area game against Slocomb on Tuesday, October 1. 

Geneva takes the lead and wins all three sets. 25-16, 25-12, 25-23. Chloe Nance had two kills, six assists and four aces. Madison Johnson has  two aces, and 11 assists. Emma Griffin had nine kills, and four digs. Shelby Hammock had eight digs and eight kills. Daydee Holt with one kill, four digs and four aces. Pazley Lamb with three digs and one aces. Addyson Martin earned two kills.

Their current record is 17-7. 

The Lady Panthers will next partake in the Goshen tournament on, Saturday October5.
