A Close Win for the Panthers

On Thursday, December 5, the Geneva Panthers travelled to G.W. Long. 

Noah Johnson with 18 points, six rebounds and one assist. Kahari McReynolds with 11 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. Damion Kemmerlin with 18 points, six rebounds, one assist and one block. Trevon Kemmerlin with 18 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. Kaleb King with three points, two rebounds and two assists. Avery Perry with two points and one steal. Timothy McReynolds with two points, two rebounds, seven assists and five steals. Dylan Creech with five points 10 rebounds and one assists. 

The final score of the game is 77-69. 

The Geneva Panthers will next play in Samson on Friday, December 6th.  PSN will be live streaming, so if you are not able to be there, be sure to tune in!

Throw down on the Court


On Tuesday, December 3, 2019, Geneva travelled to Enterprise State Community College to play Daleville. 

Noah Johnson with 13 points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal. Kahari McReynolds with three points, two rebounds and three assists. Damion Kemmerlin with eight points, six rebounds and one assist. Dylan Creech with eight points, five rebounds, one assist and one block. Trevon Kemmerlin with 12 points, six rebounds, two assists and one block. Kaleb King with six points, one steal and one block. Avery Perry with three points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal. Timothy McReynolds with two points one rebound one assists and two steals. 

The final score of the game was 52-65.

Panthers Pull Out the Win At The Buzzer


On Friday, November 22, 2019, Geneva hosts the Thanksgiving tournament. The teams included in the tournament are Geneva, Geneva County, Wicksburg, Samson, Providence, and Rehobeth and Florala. 

To start off the tournament, Geneva Boys played against Rehobeth at 9:00 am. The final score of the game  72-70

Damion Kemmerlin with 10 points, four rebounds, one assists and one steal. Dylan Creech with 21 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block. Trevon Kemmerlin with 12 points, eight rebounds, one assist and six steals. Kaleb King with four points, two rebounds and three assists. Avery Perry with seven points, two rebounds and four steals. Timothy McReynolds with two points and two rebounds. Ivey Lawson with two points, three rebounds and two steals. 

Their record is 1-2. 

The boys will next play on Monday, November 25, 2019. They will take on Florala at 7:00 pm.

The first game of a new season

On Friday, November 15,2019, Geneva Hosted the first game of the season against Hartford. 

Noah Johnson with 13 points, four rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks. Kahari McReynolds with nine points, four rebounds, three assists. Damion Kemmerlin with four points, two rebounds, one assist and three steals. Dylan Creech with three points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. Trevon Kemmerlin with 14 points, four rebounds, one assist. Kaleb King with nine points, one rebound, three assists and five steals and one block. Avery Perry with three points. Timothy Mcreynolds with four assists and two steals. Grant Marsh with three points three rounds. Ivey Lawson with four points, one block, six rebounds and one assist.

Their next game is against Florala in Florala on Tuesday, November 19. 

Area Tournament: Runner up

On Monday, October 21, Geneva travelled to Houston Academy to partake in the Area Tournament. Along with Geneva, Houston Academy, Slocomb and Wicksburg were in the Area Tournament. 

Geneva vs Wicksburg 

The Lady Panthers took on Wicksburg for all three sets, 25-13, 25-21 and 25-22. This called for the end of the season for the Wicksburg Lady Panthers. For Geneva, Chloe Nance had aces, seven assists, eight kills, two blocks and one dig. Emma Griffin had five kills and three digs and Daydee Holt had one ace and six kills and four digs. Shelby Hammock had two aces, three kills and two digs and Addyson Martin with two kills and two digs. Pazley Lamb with one ace, one kill and two digs. Madison Johnson with five aces, 15 assists, four kills and eight digs. This was Johnson’s first game back from a shoulder injury. 

Geneva vs Houston Academy 

Houston Academy won three out of five games against The Lady Panthers 12-25, 7-25 and 5-25. During the second set, The Lady Panthers came back and started working together and communicating with one another and found their bases, and took the second set, 25-21. For Geneva, Madison Johnson earned one ace, five assists, three kills and two blocks. Pazley Lamb earner two aces and four digs. Shelby Hammock has four aces, one attack and 10 digs and Camryn Sanders with one ace. Chloe Nance earned one ace, three assists, seven kills, one block and two digs. Emma Griffin with one assist, three kills and three digs. Daydee Holt earned two aces, one block and five digs. 

The Lady Panthers will next travel to Montgomery, Al on Thursday, October 24 for the Regional Tournament. If you will not be able to make it there, be sure to catch the games on air as PSN will be live-streaming. The first game starting at 11:30 against Beulah.
