Homecoming in Geneva is like no other, many alumni that have moved off come back for Homecoming and week long festivities. The Assembly is on Friday morning followed by the parade after lunch and and finally the game on Friday. On Homecoming it’s usually standing room only on the home side. This year Geneva played host to rival Slocomb. Geneva and Slocomb went back and forth in an offensive battle throughout the entire game. Slocomb pulled through winning the game 63-56. Senior QB Mason Coskrey led with 92 rushing yards, 4 rushing Touchdowns, 160 passing yards and 7 tackles. Kahari McReynolds added 207 rushing yards, 2 rushing Touchdowns, 56 passing yards, 78 receiving yards, and 5 tackles. Dylan Creech had 90 rushing yards, 2 rushing Touchdowns, 64 receiving yards, and 6 tackles. Although Geneva failed to win this game, it was a close, high-scoring game that was very fun to watch.
